Picture: First look at ‘The Shadowhunter Codex’ by Cassandra Clare and her husband Joshua Lewis

Later this year we have an amazing new book which we can add to our Shadowhunter collections.

On October 31st, The Shadowhunter Codex will be released in stores for us to all get our hands on.

The book is based on to Codex that we know about from The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices series written by Cassandra Clare.

It is a bit like an Encyclopedia for the Shadowhunter fans written by Cassandra Clare and her husband Joshua Lewis.

Since the thirteenth century, the Shadowhunters’ Codex has been the one and only manual for Shadowhunters looking to brush up on their demon languages, learn proper stele use and discover just what exactly a pyxis is. Featured in both The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices, this guide is a necessity for any young Nephilim on their journey to becoming a Shadowhunter. This is Clary’s copy, and as an artist herself, she’s sketched pictures of her friends and family throughout the book, and scrawled helpful advice in the margins. Of course, she couldn’t exactly stop Jace or Simon from adding their thoughts either.

Simon & Schuster Canada shared a sneak peek at the Codex on their Instagram with the title: Clary’s copy of The Shadowhunter’s Codex, complete with margin notes and the occasional comments from Simon and Jace. #TMI
