Recap of today’s #TMIparty for the #COHF Launch in London

Today I was lucky enough to attend the #TMIparty in London to celebrate the launch of The Mortal Instruments: City of Heavenly Fire.

I arrived early and there were loads of fans dressed in black Shadowhunter gear already.

When I got to the theatre room there was already two huge queues to go get runes painted on & nail art.

I then noticed that two hot men dressed as Shadowhunters were on the stage too! YUM!

Paul from Walker Books was today’s MC, reading out tweets people had sent in with the hashtag #TMIparty. Some were really funny!

Once it got to 2.10pm (-ish) we got to see Cassandra Clare on screen reading an excerpt from City of Heavenly Fire. I actually had goosebumps & tears in my eyes.

We then re-watched The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones movie which was fun because everyone in the room are obviously big fans. So we got lots of big cheers, wolf whistles & boo’s when certain characters came on screen. Made me remember when I first watched the film with my parabatai, Eilidh, at the London press screening of the film. We were majorly fangirling during it but everyone else in the screening were press so we had to be quiet while fangirling.

After the film we were finally given our own copy of City of Heavenly Fire as well as the City of Bones journal and a City of Heavenly Fire postcard.

Just want to say a massive thank you to Walker Books for putting on the Launch Party. It was so much fun!

The whole experience of watching the movie with most of UK’s Fandom was a amazing feeling, it felt more different – better even and I seen the movie three times in the cinema. Being around with all the Shadowhunters….it’s the best feeling the world πŸ˜€
