Check out the first two covers in Cassandra Clare’s ‘Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy’ series

Entertainment Weekly have revealed the first two covers from Cassandra Clare and friends new series Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy.

The first novella is called Welcome to Shadowhunter Academy and follows the story of Simon Lewis as he trains to become a Shadowhunter.

After living as a mundane and a vampire, Simon never thought he would become a Shadowhunter, but today he begins his training at Shadowhunter Academy. Simon Lewis has been many things. A mundane. A vampire. A hero. But Simon can’t remember any of that. His memories of adventures with Clary, Isabelle, and the rest of the New York Shadowhunters were erased by a demon, and now Simon is eager to reclaim that part of himself. But will he ever get back the parts of himself that he lost? Does he even want to?

Entertainment Weekly also shared the second cover for the series titled The Lost Herondale.

Simon learns about the worst thing a Shadowhunter can do: desert their comrades. In the early 19th century, Tobias Herondale abdandoned his fellow Shadowhunters in the heat of battle and left them to die. His life was forfeit, but Tobias never returned, and the Clave claimed his wife’s life in exchange for Tobias’s. Simon and his fellow students are shocked to learn of this brutality, especially when it is revealed the woman was pregnant. But what if the child survived…could there be a lost Herondale line out in the world today?

Like The Bane Chronicles, it looks like each novella of Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy is going to reveal part of a picture which when put together will reveal 1 full image which will likely be the cover for the final printed book.

Each novella will be released in eBook form each month starting this month and then will be printed in 1 book and sold in stores (probably in 2016).

Welcome to Shadowhunter Academy will be released as an eBook on the 17th February 2015, with The Lost Herondale being released on the 17th March 2015.
