Young Adult Literature Convention is back in London and CASSANDRA CLARE is attending!!

YALC cassie

Last year was the first Young Adult Literature Convention (YALC) and was part of the London Film and Comic Con (LFCC).

Thank the angel that YALC IS BACK!! And it is going to be even better than last year because our favourite author Cassandra Clare will be there!!

This year YALC will be back in the Book Zone at LFCC and will be running Friday 17- Sunday 19 July at Olympia, London.

It was previously announced that Cassandra Clare would be there for the Saturday but this may change. If it’s the same as last year she will have a specific time during the day where she will be signing books (or maybe two slots to sign books depending on the scheduling) and last year some of the authors took part in talks too. We will not know if Cassie will be taking part in talks until the schedule has been announced (which should be soon).

I would expect that there will be a limit on books Cassie will sign due to how popular she will be, other authors may sign any books that are theirs, but because Cassie has so many books to choose from and so many fans I would expect she will have time to sign everyone’s 12 book collection (6 TMI,  3 TID, The Bane Chronicles, The Shadowhunter’s Codex, Magisterium) and at previous signing of Cassie’s that I have been to it has been limited to 2 books per person. Rainbow Rowell was very popular last year so they limited it to 2 books per person.

Sarah Rees Brennan, co-author of The Bane Chronicles and Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy, will also be attending.
