‘Lady Midnight’ Placeholder cover revealed as well as how many pages!

A few days ago Cassandra Clare revealed the placeholder cover for The Dark Artifices: Lady Midnight on her Tumblr and it is beautiful!

The final cover will be revealed in October 2015 and the book will be released in March 2016.

It’s been five years since the events of City of Heavenly Fire that brought the Shadowhunters to the brink of oblivion. Emma Carstairs is no longer a child in mourning, but a young woman bent on discovering what killed her parents and avenging her losses.

Together with her parabatai Julian Blackthorn, Emma must learn to trust her head and her heart as she investigates a demonic plot that stretches across Los Angeles, from the Sunset Strip to the enchanted sea that pounds the beaches of Santa Monica. If only her heart didn’t lead her in treacherous directions…

Glitz, glamours, and Shadowhunters abound in this heartrending opening to Cassandra Clare’s Dark Artifices series.

Cassie also confirmed that there are 768 pages! This is probably in the American version page numbers, it may change in the international versions.

To put that into perspective, City of Heavenly Fire was 733 pages.

Who’s excited for Lady Midnight?
