YALC release their event schedule and includes Q and A with Cassandra Clare and Sarah Rees Brennan

YALC cassie

For those who have been living under a rock, YALC is the UK’s largest Young Adult Literature Convention. It started last year and takes place at the London Film and Comic Con.

This year our favourite author, Cassandra Clare, and co-author of The Bane Chronicles and Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy, Sarah Rees Brennan, will also be attending.

They will only be attending the Saturday 18th July and during the day they will be signing their books (for free!) as well as taking part in a Q and A.

This is what Book Trust said in their scheduling:

Shadowhunters: Cassandra Clare & Sarah Rees-Brennan

Shadowhunters unite! Meet Cassandra Clare, bestselling author of The Mortal Instruments in this exciting event. Cassandra will be interviewed by her friend, fellow author and collaborator Sarah Rees-Brennan: find out more about her books and her inspiration, as well as what’s next for the Shadowhunter universe.

We currently do not know what time Cassie and Sarah will be signing books nor do we know how many books they will sign per person. Most authors attending will sign any book they have written, but from previous events I have been to for Cassie she has had to limit it to a maximum of two books per person. The reason for this is that she has a very large fan following and if she signed every book she has written for every fan her arm will probably fall off! So to make it so that hopefully everyone who attends gets to meet her I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a limit at YALC too.

There are many many more authors attending and you can read all about them HERE

Both myself (Sarah – @TMI_TID_UK) and Eilidh (@TMIScotland) will be attending and hope to see you all there too! If you haven’t purchased your ticket yet then be quick and buy them HERE.

YALC will be in it’s own section in the London Film and Comic Con. LFCC is one of the largest comic cons in the UK and has an amazing line-up or actors attending, including a Back to the Future reunion! You can find out more about London Film and Comic Con HERE.
