Jamie Campbell Bower

The Mortal Instruments Movie

Jamie will be portraying the amazing Jace Wayland in The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones movie set to release on the 23rd August 2013.

It has been said that the crew auditioned over 200 guys for this role but none of them fit the bill.

That is… until Jamie walked into the room!

He has said that he prepared a lot for the audition and after finishing a scene with Lily, she turned to the crew and said “I really don’t know what else you could be looking for. That’s Jace”

I read with a couple of different guys. Jamie just came in and… that was it. He was just himself. He had this perfect mixture of being this witty, kind of jokey, cocky in the best sense of the word. But also extremely vulnerable, emotional and this great mixture of emotions. And that’s what Jace is. He has to walk in a room and make people turn their heads and that’s what Jamie does. – Lily Collins speaking to Collider.com about Jamie

Jamie did a lot of preparing for this role and knows all the runes. When one of the make-up artists tried to put a wedding rune on him he told them that it is not meant to be on him as he’s not married!
